Michael Hilgendorf

President - Operations

Mike, born and raised in the Midwest, worked in corporate litigation in New York and D.C. after attending undergrad at Middlebury College. Mike moved to Boulder to pursue a career that helps facilitate the transition to a clean energy economy. He is a second year MBA focusing in Renewable Energy and Finance at the Leeds School of Business.

Evan Pelaux

President - External Relations

Evan grew up in North Carolina, earning his undergraduate degree at Elon University. After three years teaching overseas in South Korea, he came back to the United States to lead a medical practice. He decided to pursue his MBA in Entrepreneurship and Finance in Colorado, taking advantage of the program’s focus on environmental and social impact along with the incredible outdoors right in Boulder’s backyard.

Blair Simpson

Vice President - External Relations

Blair came to CU Boulder from Austin, TX, where he spent many years working in the Performing Arts sector. He is a first-year MBA student at Leeds School of Business concentrating in Finance and Renewable Energy. Blair’s mission at CU is to learn innovative market strategies for solving our planet’s biggest challenges.


Chelsea Myntti

Vice President - Operations

Chelsea, born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, spent 3 years working in retail management before transitioning to professional baking to pursue her passion for food. It was there she fell in love with small businesses and making an impact through using local, natural ingredients. Chelsea moved to Boulder to pursue her MBA in Entrepreneurship and Finance.


Hannah Ishida

Vice President -

Day of Coordination

Hannah Ishida is currently a second-year MBA Candidate. She is from Honolulu, Hawaii and graduated from Villanova University in May 2013 with a Bachelor's degree in Communication and a minor in Spanish. After graduating from Villanova, she worked for the Philadelphia Phillies and Opendorse. Hannah hopes to pursue finance and strategy, while supplementing with change management related courses. Hannah has a passion for corporate social responsibility & hopes to reside eventually back in Hawaii.


David Neill

Vice President - Operations

David moved to Colorado to pursue his MBA in Entrepreneurship from West Texas, where he lived the past 7 years. He has spent 4 years within the coffee industry, and owned Pour Man’s, a mobile coffee bar in Abilene, Texas. Currently he works for Eyeflite, an assistive technology startup in the VR industry.


Natalie Kra

Judge Coordinator

Natalie, born and raised on the East Coast, moved to California to pursue an undergraduate degree in Environmental Studies at USC. After working in various roles related to sustainability and spending most of her free time outdoors, she decided to pursue a dual MBA + Masters of the Environment degree at CU in order to find innovative sustainability solutions for businesses.

After graduating from Lehigh University, Bridget returned to her home state of Oregon to pursue careers in publishing and hospitality. Now, in an effort to pivot her career, she is a first-year MBA focusing on Finance.


colten miller

Colten grew up in San Antonio, Texas before attending the Colorado School of Mines. Upon graduation, he worked in engineering consulting in the greater Denver and Boston regions for several years before moving back to Colorado to pursue his MBA. He hopes to leverage his engineering and business skills to drive community-driven development regarding clean water and power in low-income areas.
